ATTACHING THE BRICKMOLD

• Flip the door over (outside up).

• Position the precut brickmolding on both jambs and on header set back 1/2" from interior edge.  Use 1/2" block of wood as spacer.  (See figure below)

• Make sure header miters fit against the jamb miters correctly before fastening in place.  Also check alignment with bottom of jambs.

• Fasten header brickmold first at points about 12" apart, again using the 1/2" spacer to locate the brickmold evenly and correctly.

• Fasten jamb brickmolds approximately every 12", again using 1/2" spacer to assure correct and constant location of brickmold.

• At the miters, fasten the outside of the corner as well as the inside.
